On your doorstep

An AEC IT team down the road, not across town

Most IT problems in a design practice are fixed remotely and quickly. The ones that matter most are not: a failed switch on the morning of a submission, a plotter that stops before a planning deadline, an office move, or three new starters who need to be productive on Monday. For practices in SE1, the people who handle those moments work a few streets away.

  • London Bridge and Borough

Studios around Borough High Street, Tooley Street and Bermondsey Street sit in everything from Victorian warehouses to new-build offices. Connectivity varies street by street, so we check what a building can actually support before you commit to a lease.

  • Bankside and Southwark Street

The streets around our own office. Practices here get the same managed service as everyone else, plus the reassurance that an engineer is a short walk away when something needs hands on it.

  • Bermondsey and Shad Thames

Converted warehouses make beautiful studios and difficult networks. Thick walls, limited ducting and listed fabric mean Wi-Fi and cabling need planning, not guesswork.

  • Waterloo and the South Bank

Larger studios and shared buildings, often on a landlord-managed network. We keep your practice systems separate from the building’s, so a neighbour’s problem never becomes yours.

  • Elephant and Castle

New office stock and new studios setting up. We plan the IT for fit-outs and first offices so the practice works properly from day one rather than catching up later.

  • Rotherhithe, Canada Water and further south

We already support practices in SE16 and SE21. South London is a short journey from Southwark and the service is the same wherever you are.

What practices here ask us for

Day-to-day support from engineers who already understand Revit, worksharing and the rhythm of a project programme.

  • A named team that knows your practice and its deadlines

Questions we get asked

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide on-site IT support in Southwark and London Bridge?

Yes. Our office is at Mint House, 78 Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1 0AS, so most of SE1 is within walking distance. Most issues are resolved remotely; when someone needs to be in the room, they are close by.

Which areas around SE1 do you cover?

London Bridge, Borough, Bankside, Southwark, Bermondsey, Shad Thames, Waterloo, the South Bank and Elephant and Castle, as well as Rotherhithe, Canada Water and the rest of south London. We also support practices across central London and elsewhere in the UK.

What size of practice do you work with?

Most of the practices we support have between 10 and 120 people. Smaller studios and larger multi-office firms are welcome too; the service is scaled to the size and complexity of the estate.

Can you help us move office within SE1?

Yes. Involve us while you are still shortlisting buildings: a new leased line can take several weeks to install and older buildings may have limited ducting. We plan connectivity, cabling, Wi-Fi, telephony and the move itself around your date.

Do you support Mac studios as well as Windows?

Yes. WIT supports Windows, macOS and Linux, which is common in design practices running mixed estates.

What certifications does WIT hold?

WIT has been certified to ISO 27001 (information security) since 2018 and to ISO 9001 (quality) since 2023. It also holds Cyber Essentials certification.
